Hey guys,
I know not too many people follow my blog anymore, but I have decided to relight the fire under my butt. I will be starting up my healthy lifestyle again tomorrow. Maybe this time it will stick. I recently became employed, which puts me in a prime position to start this up again. So far I have been pretty successful in my "diet". This diet isn't really a diet, its more of a calorie counting. I have cut soda out of my diet...once again. This has brought my calorie intake way down allowing for some other healthy options to creep up.
On the exercise side of things, I will start that up again tomorrow. My work day doesn't start until 4pm which means I have all morning to do some work! Tomorrow I am going to the pool here and I will be trying to learn how to freestyle lap swim. I know the basics, but I still struggle with breathing while swimming. I am hoping to make this a usual part of my life. Several times a week I would like to go to the indoor pool to get some swimming in. In addition, I was running every day for about 2 miles this summer, but that all fell by the wayside when I started my job. My life has become complicated due to the odd hours my new job requires. I will start running again tomorrow...I know I'll be doubling up, but I think it's for the best. I was really enjoying running when I was doing it this summer.
This new schedule will be demanding, but I believe that I can do it if I really dedicate to this healthy lifestyle. My schedule has me committing a lot more time to different aspects of my life than previous. I believe that I will need to cut out some of the activities I have liked to do in the past. Unfortunately this will most likely mean I will be playing video games less. Sorry all my league friends, but RL always trumps games :(
I have also started to lean how to swing dance. I'm actually really enjoying it, despite the crippling self-doubt that comes with learning how to do something that requires skills I do not possess naturally i.e. being graceful. This will be an interesting development, I hope I can overcome some obstacles and become more comfortable in the swing setting.
That's it for now. If you are still following me after all this time, I will bake you cookies or something sometime!
